Beach characteristics and nearby amenities come from identified sources. Distances to a town or amenity are calculated in a straight line: they establish neither a route nor access. An administrative municipality and the nearest town are separate information.
Sources and attribution
Local information
OpenStreetMap supplies geography and amenities; GeoNames supplies towns used for calculated distances. Annual bathing-water classifications come from the public catalogues cited on each profile. Photographs retain their author, licence and original source link.
Conditions and models
Tides and sea conditions may come from models. Values retain their source, date and limitations. An annual classification is not a current health advisory. Mareloa is not a navigation tool.
Detailed licences and creditsCollection, calculation and verification
OSM data is prepared monthly, then checked before publication. A collection date records when a source was retrieved; a calculation date records when a result was produced. Neither establishes a field visit or human review. Sources and freshness are available on each profile. Missing or expired information remains explicitly labelled.
